Here’s a first look at The Celebrity Island 2018 as Bear Grylls abandons ten celebs to fend for themselves.
The Celebrity Island with Bear Grylls is back this month as more brave celebrities endure four weeks surviving in one of the toughest environments on earth.
Leaving behind their friends, family, mobile phones and social media accounts and giving up their luxurious showbiz lifestyles, the well-known group will make a remote and uninhabited island their home.
All they will have are the clothes on their back, basic tools, medical supplies, enough water to last for 24 hours and each other. If they have the ingenuity to find it, The Island will provide them with all they need to not just survive but thrive.
On the Celebrity Island 2018 cast are actor Eric Roberts, actor and musician, Martin Kemp, double Olympic gold medal rower, James Cracknell, Olympic boxer, Anthony Ogogo, TOWIE star, Pete Wicks and model and TV personality, Jo Wood.

Joining them are Love Island star Montana Brown, actress and radio broadcaster, Roxanne Pallett, journalist, presenter and transgender activist Paris Lees and TV doctor, Dr Saleyha Ahsan.
The famous line-up will capture the action from their time on The Island themselves and they will also be joined by four embedded crew who will live alongside them in exactly the same conditions to help document the highs and lows of the month.
In a first look clip, we see Bear drop the group off by boat.
“These ten celebrities are about to face 4 of the toughest weeks of their lives,” he says. “I’m going to get you in as close as I can but you are going to be swimming.”
In the opening episode, after a tough swim to shore, TOWIE star Pete takes control and leads the group through the jungle looking for a place to camp for the night. But his decision to leave most of the fresh water behind at their drop off point is questioned by Love Island star Montana Brown.
As the extreme weather worsens and thirst kicks in, Pete sends Olympic rower James Cracknell and boxer Anthony Ogogo to retrieve the jerry cans, while transgender campaigner and journalist Paris Lees joins him on an urgent hunt for a fresh water source. But both search parties hit trouble, getting lost in the dense jungle with nothing to drink in the sweltering tropical heat.
Meanwhile, when it comes to food, it’s up to ex-Emmerdale star Roxanne Pallett to brave the treacherous currents with a fishing net, risking disastrous consequences for everyone. S
Celebrity Island 2018 begins on Sunday, September 9 at 9PM on Channel 5.
