Big Brother house being rebuilt for next series

Work is underway on the Big Brother house at its current North West London location for the next series.

Bosses were previously said to be considering relocating the house, which was specially constructed inside a TV studio for the show’s reboot last year.

Much of the house was dismantled following the end of Celebrity Big Brother in January.

However planning documents submitted to the local reveal that producers are looking to return and rebuild the reality residence at the same site in North London at Garden Studios, close to Wembley.

It will see the same garden layout, outside stage and audience platform as last year. Plans for the inside aren’t disclosed.

The documents ask for the buildings to be place from August 2024 to April 2025, following for both a new series of Big Brother this autumn and then Celebrity Big Brother in the new year.

This marks the third location of the Big Brother UK house.

When it debuted on Channel 4 in 2000, Big Brother was initially filmed at a house in Bow, London.

In 2002, the show moved to a specially designed set at Elstree Studios in Borehamwood. It remained there through its last series in 2018 on Channel 5.

By 2020, the site had been cleared, leaving behind only a concrete wasteland.
