Ann Widdecombe turns down I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here

Ann Widdecombe has revealed she’s turned down I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here.

The former MP has become a reality TV regular over the years, with appearances on shows including Strictly Come Dancing and Celebrity Big Brother.

But there is one show that Ann has always said no to.

She said this week: “I thought about the jungle from time to time, but the problem I have a huge, huge height phobia.”

“They wouldn’t ask me to parachute, that’s nonsense at my age, but they’d expect me to walk over that bridge and eating all those horrible things.”

In a chat on ITV’s This Morning, Ann went on to say she wouldn’t rule out doing other TV work

Ann continued: “It just depends what comes along, I respond as and when I get the call.

“I wouldn’t mind doing the Strictly tour again – I danced with Craig Revel Horwood when I did the tour – he threw me about even more roughly because he’s bigger.

“He’s built on a much bigger scale [than Anton] and just using his normal sort of force he had me on the other side of the room. I love dancing with Craig and that’s why he started my panto career!”

For now, Ann will be seen back in the Strictly Come Dancing ballroom this Christmas with the latest festive special.

She’ll be reunited with former pro partner Anton Du Beke as six past Strictly contestants return to compete for the Christmas trophy.

Those celebs returning to the dancefloor alongside Ann include Anita Rani (series 13) and Caroline Flack (series 12).

Joining them to rock around the Christmas tree are Aston Merrygold (series 15), Jake Wood (series 12) and Michael Vaughan (series 10).

The Strictly Come Dancing 2018 Christmas special airs this Christmas Day, Tuesday December 25 5:30PM on BBC One.
