X Factor’s Nicole Scherzinger ‘gutted’ she couldn’t duet with Kevin Davy White

Nicole Scherzinger is reportedly ‘gutted’ after missing out on an X Factor final duet.

In past years Nicole has typically performed alongside her acts in the final, and had hoped to do the same this year.

But instead, Kevin was paired up with recent Britain’s Got Talent winner Tokio Myers.

The pair performed Fastlove Pt 1 before Kevin was eliminated from the show in third place.

According the Daily Mirror newspaper, Nicole was “gutted” at not being able to sing with Kevin.

“Nicole couldn’t believe it when she was told Kevin would perform with Tokio. There was no discussion about it so it came as a huge shock,” a source said.

The insider claimed: “She went to speak to Simon about it but he had already made his decision and there was no changing it. Nicole was fuming.”

Nicole told the tabloid she was definitely up for a duet, saying: “I would have loved to have shared the stage with him.”

And Kevin added: “It would have been a really big dream. I’m sad it’s not happening. I respect her talent.”

Despite missing out on a duet together – and Kevin leaving ahead of the final night – Nicole raved: “I can’t express how grateful I am for Kevin.

“We’re like brother and sister. I’ve cried at so many of his songs.”

Rak-Su and Grace Davies remain in the race to win The X Factor 2017.

The X Factor 2017 final continues Sunday night at the later time of 7:15PM on ITV where there will be performances from Sam Smith, Little Mix and Pink.
