X Factor contestant Dalton Andre Harris has spilled on just how amazing Louis Tomlinson is.
Dalton is one of Louis’ three remaining acts in this year’s series, and says the One Direction star is very hands on as a mentor.
Ahead of the latest live show, Dalton described Louis as a friend and a brother.
“We sit down and we have real conversations, we are cool off camera – it’s not just for the show,” he revealed. “Louis and I have an actual real relationship where he can call me anytime and we talk about anything.
“There is a real respect and support right there, that is the kind of guy he is.”
Dalton went on: “He’s a friend first, a real person first and then a mentor. He’s pretty chilled and over protective.”
He told 4Music’s Trending Live: “Louis doesn’t give tips, he teaches you things. He’s abrasive as possible in the best possible way, he’s teaching me to stand true to my identity not just as an artist but also as a person. ”
Discussing Louis’ own time on The X Factor in 2010, Dalton added: “He’s a good grasp, he’s been there and he can look back and see ‘what could I have done better?’.”
Currently a total of six contestants are left in the competition after last Sunday’s latest double elimination.
Simon Cowell lost two acts as both Bella Penfold and Shan Ako were sent home in a shock double exit.
Those now left alongside Dalton in Louis’ Boys category are Anthony Russell and Brendan Murray. They’re joined by Simon’s girls category made up now of just Scarlett Lee. Making up Robbie’s groups are duo Acacia and Aaliyah. Finally, Ayda Williams is with The Overs, now made up of Danny Tetley.
The X Factor is back Saturday night at 8PM with the semi-final.
