The Voice UK’s live final weekend kicked off earlier as the remaining contestants again performed to stay in the competition and be one step closer to winning a recording contract with Polydor Records.

The four contestants on The Voice UK were Team Tom’s Deana, a 23-year-old from Liverpool, and Bethzienna Williams, a 28-year-old musician from Barry who won the public wild card vote.

They were joined by Team Olly’s Jimmy Balito, a 23-year-old from Sussex and Molly Hocking, an 18-year-old from St Ives in Cornwall.

Jennifer and Will didn’t have any acts in the final.

All four performed twice in the first half of the show, performing both a duet with their mentor and a new solo song.

After the performances, lines briefly opened via phone and the app for viewers to support their favourite.

Host Emma Willis announced the top two finalists in no particular order as Deana and Molly.

Therefore Team Olly’s Jimmy and Team Tom’s Bethzienna bowed out of the competition in fourth and third places.

Molly and Deana then returned to the stage to perform live once again.

The pair reprised their potential winner’s single – their favourite song of the series.

Lines then closed for good before Emma returned with the final result.

And with the most votes, host Emma announced Molly Hocking as The Voice UK champion 2019.

A tearful Molly reacted: “Someone pinch me! All I can say is thank you from the bottom of my heart. I’m shocked! I am so glad you, Olly has stuck with me throughout this. You are my inspiration.”

Runner up Deana added: “It’s been a pleasure to be here and just get my name out there and work with Sir Tom.”
