The Strictly Come Dancing 2019 winner has been revealed in the final results on Saturday.
Three celebs went into yesterday evening’s show with Emma Barton, Karim Zeroual and Kelvin Fletcher fighting for the glitterball trophy.
The judges’ gave their usual marks for the three piece’s routines but public votes alone decided the Strictly 2019 winner on Saturday.
Who won Strictly Come Dancing 2019?
After 13 weeks of live shows, it was Kelvin Fletcher who won Strictly Come Dancing 2019 in Saturday’s (December 14) final results.
Kelvin and pro partner Oti Mabuse beat Emma Barton & Anton Du Beke and Karim Zeroual & Amy Dowden in this year’s live final after the finalists danced three routines.
Kelvin reacted with shock to the news while Oti was in tears. Kelvin had joined the show as a late arrival this year after injury saw original contestant Jamie Laing ruled out ahead of the launch.
“This feels like a dream. I’ve never been so overwhelmed and shocked. I genuinely did not expect that,” said Kelvin.
Oti added: “It doesn’t feel real!”
The results of second and third place were not revealed.
Strictly final recap
The live Strictly final started with the celebs dancing a past routine as chosen by the judges.
For Karim & Amy it was Week 7’s Quickstep to Mr. Pinstripe Suit, Emma & Anton reprised their Charleston to Thoroughly Modern Millie from Musicals Wee and Kelvin & Oti danced the Rumba to Ain’t No Sunshine from Week 4.
Lines then opened for viewers to vote for a winner both online and via landlines and mobiles.
Next, the final three each performed their showdances.
Emma & Anton performed to Irving Berlin’s Let Yourself Go, Karim & Amy danced to P!nk’s version of A Million Dreams from The Greatest Showman while Kelvin & Oti performed their showdance to Shout by The Isley Brothers.
For the last round of performances of the night, the final trio each performed one of their favourite dances from the series.
Emma & Anton reprised Viennese Waltz to Send In The Clowns from A Little Night Music from Week 4, Karim & Amy Jived to You Can’t Stop The Beat from Hairspray from Musicals week and Kelvin & Oti went back to week one for their Samba to La Vida Es Un Carnaval by Celia Cruz.
Come the end of the evening, Karim was top spot of the judges’ scoreboard with a total of 119 points, dropping just the one point across his three dances.

However public votes alone decided the winner as hosts Tess and Daly gathered the group to reveal the result at the end of the live show.
And it was Kelvin who lifted the glitterball at the end of the series after topping the viewer vote.
