The final also welcomed back the rest of this year’s Queens: Blu Hydrangea, Crystal, Cheryl Hole,, Gothy Kendoll, Sum Ting Wong, Scaredy Kat and Vinegar Strokes.

RuPaul’s Drag Race’s first ever UK season aired on BBC Three and BBC iPlayer.

The premiere British series followed the same format as its American counterpart. Contestants competed in individual or team challenges that tested a specific drag queen skill before taking on the Maxi Challenge, the headline moment of each show.

There they may be required to perform, model in a photo shoot or prepare a runway look for a themed challenge before having to face the judges, with one contestant each week eliminated and asked to “Sashay Away”.

Meanwhile, a second series of Drag Race UK has already been confirmed to air on BBC Three next year.

Series one has been a runaway success for BBC Three with 6.5 million total requests on iPlayer over the first four episodes alone.

RuPaul said: “I want to thank the BBC and all our fans for their overwhelming support of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK.

“This season’s queens proved that Britain’s Got Charisma Uniqueness Nerve and Talent and I want to see more! Here’s to another season of love, laughter and light!”

You can watch the entire first series of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK online now via BBC iPlayer.

Series 2 will air in 2020.
