Colin Thackery has been crowned the Britain’s Got Talent 2019 winner in the final results.
The thirteenth series of Britain’s Got Talent came to an end on ITV last night and we now know who won this year’s BGT after the results of the public vote.
In a tense announcement, hosts Ant and Dec revealed that the winner of Britain’s Got Talent 2019 was 89-year-old singer Colin Thackery.
He’s won a spot on the Royal Variety Performance plus a £250,000 prize.
“Thank you very much, I’m absolutely astonished. Thank you,” Colin reacted. “I can’t quite believe it. It all started as a dare, one of my friends suggested I audition.”
Asked what he planned to spend the prize money on, Colin said: “I live in a wonderful place, so I want to make a donation to that.”

The marathon final show began at 7:30PM this evening as eleven acts competed for victory.
There was no shortage of drama, shocks and incredible performances including mystery magician X revealing his identity and stuntman Jonathan Goodwin burying himself alive.
The week saw five nights of live shows and 40 semi-final performances with two acts making it through to the final.
The 10 finalists were joined by one judges’ wildcard, dancers Libby and Charlie, who finished in third place in their semi-final.
They were in the final with magician X, stuntman Jonathan Goodwin, magician Ben Hart, singer Mark McMullan. singer Colin Thackery, comedian Kojo Anim, Magic dog act Dave & Finn, singing and dancing group Flakefleet Primary School, magicians 4MG and comedy singer Siobhan Phillips
As always, the public vote alone determined the winner after lines opened via phone, mobile and the official BGT app. More than 3 million votes were cast during the live show yesterday.

Elsewhere, the live final saw performances from former BGT stars Diversity and Susan Boyle.
Dance group Diversity presented a fantastic new high-energy dance performance and superstar singer Susan performed a duet with Michael Ball on A Million Dreams.
