The Voice 2017 winner Mo Jamil has announced his debut album and new single.
Mo will put out his record, called Evolve, next month on Friday, March 30.
The album release will be followed by a live performance on The Voice UK on Saturday March 31.
Mo’s album will be available to pre-order from this Friday (March 2), as he releases brand new single ‘That Feeling’ via Polydor Records.
It was Mo who won The Voice 2017 last year and he’s spent the last twelve months working on music for his debut record.
The talented singer has teamed up with some of the most hotly-tipped writers and producers in the world including Mr. Hudson, Maths Times Joy (Bebe Rexha, Snakehips, Mary J Blige), Artery Music (RAYE, Dua Lipa) and James Earp (Rebecca Ferguson, Mel C, Nina Nesbitt).
Mo’s new single That Feeling is described as a “a rousing and powerful instant pop classic, showered in soaring strings, with an epic chorus that will be stuck in your head for days”.
Mo will perform the track, written with Swedish musician, producer and songwriter David Kjellstrand, on The Voice Live Semi-Final on Saturday 31 March.
Speaking of the release, Mo said: “As soon as I started collaborating with David on this song,
“I knew that it was a perfect fit for the record. The lyrics and undertone resonated with me immediately and I knew it had to be the first single from my new album.”
Mo was mentored by Jennifer Hudson on The Voice UK last year and recently reunited with her and fellow The Voice coaches Sir Tom Jones and Olly Murs at the BRIT Awards.
