The Real Marigold Hotel returned to BBC One for series 4 in 2020.

The Real Marigold Hotel follows celebs as they head to India on an experimental adventure.

The new series of for four episodes ran on BBC One on Thursday nights. You can watch online and catch up now via the BBC iPlayer here.

Those taking part in series 4 include former movie star and Bond girl Britt Ekland; Dragons’ Den star and entrepreneur Duncan Bannatyne; fashion designer Dame Zandra Rhodes and Chuckle Brother Paul Chuckle.

Joining them are cricket commentator Henry Blofeld; EastEnders actor John Altman; actress Susie Blake; and singer Barbara Dickson, as they road test retirement in India.

A teaser for the new series shares: “Six thousand miles away from home and in the colourful coastal city of Puducherry and in Rishikesh in the foothills of the Himalayas, the group have time to reflect on the ups and downs of life, open up to each other and find out if they could spend their golden years there.”

The Real Marigold Hotel episodes

Episode 1
Britt Ekland, Duncan Bannatyne, Dame Zandra Rhodes, Paul Chuckle, Henry Blofeld, John Altman, Susie Blake and Barbara Dickson arrive in India and get their first taste of the chaotic traffic on the bus to Puducherry and their new home by the sea.

Although Britt struggles with the heat and Paul is struck down with an upset stomach, the group throw themselves into their new surroundings ready to embrace retired life in India.

Episode 2
It is the group’s second week in India, and the senior citizens have settled into their new home on the coast in Puducherry. Keen to find a cure for an old injury, Henry, accompanied by Paul, visits one of the region’s leading hospitals, where yoga is combined with western medicine.

They join a regular therapy class, which ends with surprising results for Henry.

Episode 3
Now fully settled into their new life by the sea in Puducherry, the group celebrate Susie’s birthday. Hoping to make it a night to remember, the senior citizens decide to throw a party, inviting local friends along too.

Episode 4
In the fourth and final episode saying goodbye to Puducherry, the group journey north to the foothills of the Himalayas for their final week in India.

Following a treacherous drive up narrow, winding roads, they arrive at their new home on the outskirts of Rishikesh, ready to experience the spiritual side of life in northern India.

The Real Marigold Hotel airs on BBC One.
