The Apprentice 2019 bosses ‘in meltdown after finalist leaks their result’

One hopeful is reportedly in hot water before new series has even begun

The Apprentice 2019 bosses are reportedly panicking after one contestant blabbed about making it to the final two.

The Lord Sugar business competition films months in advance, meaning results of the crucial firings are kept a closely-guarded secret.

However, one candidate on the new series has reportedly been playing fast and loose with the show’s rules.

According to The Sun, they have told pals that they’ve been successful enough to reach the final two – before the first episode has even aired.

This goes against contestants’ contracts, which stipulate they must keep quiet until details have aired on television.

Producers are now doing their utmost to ensure the mysterious name doesn’t spread – as it would be ‘virtually impossible’ to re-edit the episodes.

“This is a worst nightmare for bosses as they try and build suspense before the first show airs on Wednesday,” a source said.

“The contestant has seriously annoyed a lot of people by not keeping this to themselves.

“You would have thought this will be weighing heavily on Lord Sugar’s mind when he ultimately decides who’s hired in the final.”

The mole added: “Producers have been left with little choice other than to keep everything crossed and hope no-one talks online.”

A spokesperson for The Apprentice chose not to comment on the matter.

Last week the BBC confirmed the sixteen budding entrepreneurs taking part, who come from a range of business backgrounds.

They include a finance manager, a pillow salesman and the owner of an artisan bakery.

The first challenge sees them travel abroad to run tours in Cape Town.

The Apprentice 2019 begins on Wednesday at 9.00pm on BBC One.
