Strictly Come Dancing’s Neil Jones ‘confronts Seann Walsh over Katya Jones kiss’

Strictly Come Dancing’s Neil Jones and Seann Walsh have reportedly had an off-camera confrontation.

Strictly contestant Seann and his professional partner Katya were the focus of attention all last week after being pictured “snogging like a pair of teenagers” ahead of last Saturday’s show.

Katya is married to fellow Strictly pro dancer Neil while Seann was in a relationship with actress girlfriend Rebecca Humphries, before she dropped him last week following a statement posted to Twitter.

The pair spoke out about the incident on It Takes Two, saying sorry for their “mistake” and giving their side of events.

Katya said: “Obviously I apologise, and I can’t apologise enough to everyone who it hurt and involved.

“But, the main thing, me and Neil are absolutely fine and that’s what matters to me the most right now and focusing on my job and doing it as professionally as I can.”

Now Neil and Seann are said to have attempted to clear the air in a face to face meeting backstage.

“It was a tense meeting and Neil left Seann clear how unhappy he is. Neil told him in no uncertain terms about how he felt,” a source shared this weekend. “He said he felt betrayed, especially when he trusted Seann. It was very much a case of him telling him to keep his hands to himself.”

The insider added to the Daily Mirror newspaper: “Neil told him that the same thing could never happen again.

“Seann felt awful and was deeply apologetic. He wanted to meet with Neil to clear the air. That was the only way they could move forward.

“It was a really awkward meeting but they can just about be in the same place together now.”

Despite all the drama outside the ballroom, Seann and Katya impressed with their dancing on Saturday night.

Their Charleston placed them towards the top end of the scoreboard, with a total of 28 points.
