Strictly Come Dancing semi-final: Two dances for the remaining celebs

It’s the Strictly Come Dancing 2019 semi-final this weekend and the pressure is on for the couples.

It was Alex Scott who became the unlucky star to miss out on the semi-final in last night’s Strictly results to leave us with the final four celebrity contestants.

Those left on the Strictly 2019 line up this year are CBBC presenter Karim Zeroual and EastEnders’ actress Emma Barton.

Also still fighting for the glitterball are comedian Chris Ramsey and Emmerdale actor Kelvin Fletcher.

The remaining four couples in the competition will return next weekend where, for the first time this series, they will each be performing two dances in the hope of reaching the Grand Final on Saturday 14th of December.

As the celebs start their week of training, judges Shirley Ballas, Motsi Mabuse, Bruno Tonioli and Craig Revel Horwood have offered their advice.

Motsi said: “These are the last two weeks they need to put in the work. You have to dance and dance and dance until you can’t get enough and then put in the perfect performance on that day.

“It’s a tough life. They know what’s in the game, they’ve just got to push it for two more weeks.”

Craig agreed: “It’s working twice as hard. Two dances, two times the rehearsal.”

Shirley added: “Get the choreography down as quickly as possible and then add the details to it. The technique at this point is going to be what it is. Get some styling and details.”

Bruno said: “Don’t get nervous, you’ve made it so far so it means you have the talent. Get the technique, get the steps, get it in the body.

“Once it’s in the body it allows you to perform and sell it on a level we haven’t seen yet.”

The remaining four couples will take to the dancefloor next week when Strictly Come Dancing returns for the semi-final on Saturday 7 December at 7pm with the results show on Sunday 8 December at 7.20pm on BBC One.

There will also be a spectacular musical performance from Niall Horan.
