Oti Mabuse has been crowned the winner of the Strictly Come Dancing Pro Challenge 2018.
It’s her first victory in the yearly challenge, topping Giovanni Pernice who has won the previous two years’ competitions.
Oti set a new Guinness World Record in last night’s It Takes Two on BBC Two.
This year once again the spin-off show has been testing the pros with a brand new challenge.
For 2018, the pro challenge was a test of both technique and endurance as the dancers were tasked with completing the most toe heel swivel steps in 30 seconds.
Each step was analysed in slow motion before being officially counted, which led to some disqualifications for a number of the professionals.
At the top of the leaderboard come the end of the challenge was Oti with 48 confirmed toe heel swivel steps with no disqualifications, setting a new Official Guinness World Record.
She beat Luba Mushtuk and Amy Dowden to claim victory, with the ladies achieving 40 confirmed steps each.
At the bottom was poor Janette Manrara, who had just twelve steps. Reigning pro champ Giovanni ranked in seventh place this year, with 36 confirmed steps.
Last year’s challenge saw Giovanni set a new record for the most Charleston swivel steps in 30 seconds.
And in 2016, the pro challenge won again by Giovanni and set a record for completing the most jive flicks and kicks in 30 seconds.
