Strictly Come Dancing Pro Challenge 2017 results! Winner is revealed…

Strictly Come Dancing Pro Challenge winner

Giovanni Pernice has been crowned the winner of the Strictly Come Dancing Pro Challenge 2017.

And it’s the second victory in as many years for Giovanni, who also won last year’s challenge.

He set a new world record in last night’s It Takes Two on BBC Two.

This year once again the spin-off show has been testing the pros with a brand new challenge.

For 2017, the pro challenge was a test of both technique and endurance as the dancers were tasked with completing the most Charleston swivel steps in 30 seconds.

Each step was analysed in slow motion before being officially counted, which led to some embarrassing results for some.

At the top of the leaderboard come the end of the challenge was Giovanni with 24 confirmed swivel steps, setting a new Official Guinness World Record.

He beat Karen Clifton and Janette Manrara to claim victory, with the ladies achieving 21 confirmed steps each.

At the bottom was poor Brendan Cole, who had just seven steps.

It was Giovanni’s second pro challenge win after also claiming victory last year.

Last year, the pro challenge saw Giovanni Pernice win and set a new world record for completing the most jive flicks and kicks in 30 seconds.
