Strictly Come Dancing 2018 is going to Movies with its first themed week this Saturday night.
Lights, camera, action! Hollywood glamour comes to the ballroom, as Strictly Come Dancing glides into movie week from 6:30PM on Saturday, October 6 on BBC One.
And things will start with an epic group performance featuring the celebrities and pro dancers.
The show will open with a homage to the Harry Potter movies, as the professional dancers recreate some of the most iconic scenes in a truly magical group routine.
After saying goodbye to the first couple in Sunday’s Strictly results, the remaining celebrities and their professional dancers are feeling the pressure.
Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman host as the fabulous 14 couples get ready for their close-ups as they perform routines inspired by some of the greatest films of all time (and hope to impress the judges, Shirley Ballas, Darcey Bussell, Bruno Tonioli and Craig Revel Horwood).
After the first two weeks, the leaderboard has been reset and everyone is starting on a blank page.
The judges will score each of the Movie week performances out of ten before the vote lines open at the end of the show, and viewers at home can have their say and vote for their favourite couple.
Sadly another couple will have to leave the competition on Sunday night’s Results Show – and no-one wants their Strictly experience to end.
Last Sunday saw Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman host the first results show of Strictly Come Dancing 2018 and revealed the first couple who will be leaving the competition.
The celebrities and their professional dance partners had done all they can to impress judges over the first two live weekends.
The two couples with the lowest combined judges’ scores and viewer votes – Susannah Constantine and Lee Ryan – took part in the dreaded dance-off. The judges must then decided who stayed and which couple would be the first ones to say goodbye.
Unfortunately for Susannah, she was the unlucky celeb to the first out of Strictly Come Dancing this year.
Elsewhere in the first results show, there was a special musical performance from chart-topping singer and songwriter George Ezra, who performed his number one hit, Shotgun.
Strictly Come Dancing 2018 continues this Saturday at 6:30PM on BBC One.
The results air again on Sunday at 7:45PM.
