Strictly Come Dancing celebrities reveal shocking injuries from training

Strictly Come Dancing celebrities have been revealing their dance injuries as they rehearse for the live shows.

The Strictly Come Dancing pairings were revealed in last week’s launch show as the celebs and pros were partnered up.

They’ve since hit the training room ahead of the first live show on Saturday, September 21.

Taking to Instagram this week, Paralympic sports star Will Bayley shared a shocking injury.

His pro partner Janette Manrara posted a video online, saying: “I know I should be more of a supportive partner but Will just said his feet hurt and I said, ‘Do you want to take your shoes off for five minutes?’

“And this is what it’s like,” she added alongside a clip of Will’s bleeding foot.

But Will reacted simply: “I’m a real dancer now!”

Janette said: “I cannot say enough how impressive this mans attitude is. Feeling so inspired by him everyday! What a champ!”

Meanwhile, Radio 1 DJ Dev Griffin says he has “blisters on blisters” after his first week of training.

He told Saturday Kitchen Live on BBC One this weekend: “I’ve been training for a couple of weeks now it’s really full on, I love it, it’s a lot of hard work.

“I have blisters on blisters. I’ve been having Epsom sat baths, and I’m living on a foam roller, it’s intense.”

Dev, who is partnered with pro dancer Dianne Buswell, added: “I did a little bit of musical theatre as a kid so I feel like I regressed back to the 11-year-old me, jazz hands and really enjoying showing off.”

Stars joining Dev and Will on this year’s line up include former England international goalkeeper David James, comedian Chris Ramsey and EastEnders’ actress Emma Barton.

Also on the cast are social media star Saffron Barker, Corrie star Catherine Tyldesley, BBC Sports presenter Mike Bushell and CBBC presenter Karim Zeroual.

Strictly Come Dancing’s first live show airs on Saturday, September 21.
