Another celebrity has left Strictly Come Dancing 2019 in tonight’s results but who was eliminated?
This weekend the five remaining couples danced once more to impress the viewers at home as well as judges Shirley Ballas, Motsi Mabuse, Bruno Tonioli and Craig Revel Horwood.
Saturday night saw all celebs and their pro partners performing live once more in a Musicals themed special.
In tonight’s results, the total marks from the judges for the latest dances were combined with the results of the viewer vote.
Who left Strictly Come Dancing 2019 this week?
Those in the bottom were Alex Scott and her pro partner Neil Jones and Chris Ramsay and his pro partner Karen Hauer.
At the end of the dance off, it was Alex Scott who left Strictly Come Dancing 2019 this week.
In the dance off on Sunday, both couples performed their routines again,. Alex Scott and Neil Jones performed their Samba to Joyful Joyful from the musical Sister Act, and Chris Ramsay and Karen Hauer performed their Foxtrot to Consider Yourself from the musical Oliver! in a bid to impress the judges and remain in the competition.
The judges then chose who to save and it was a split decision.
Strictly Come Dancing 2019 results
Craig Revel Horwood chose to save Alex and Neil: “I really loved the refreshing fusion of this particular dance and the fact that the dance was performed very, very well and the couple I’d like to save is Alex and Neil.”
Motsi Mabuse also chose to save Alex and Neil: “I have to be honest, I have to say this is one of the most difficult things I have had to do for a long time, you were both great, I enjoyed it, I’m going to save Alex and Neil.”
Bruno Tonioli however chose to save Chris and Karen: “Well it’s very hard and at this stage it’s going to get even harder but purely based on what I saw tonight I firmly believe that the stronger overall more convincing powerful entertaining couple is Chris and Karen.”
With the casting vote, Head Judge Shirley Ballas also chose to save Chris and Karen.
Shirley said: “Well again this is a very, very difficult decision. Both couples danced extremely well and for me it’s going to go personal taste, and I’m going to go with the couples that I felt had the most content and more powerfully entertaining and therefore I am saving Chris and Karen.”
Therefore it was Alex and Neil who bowed out of the competition.
Speaking about her time on the show, Alex said: “I’ve been a fan of Strictly forever so to even be here and dance here every week. I’ve loved every moment and I have to thank everyone, and everyone behind the scenes to make this show work.
“I’ve literally lived out another dream I had football and then this chapter. I have to thank my dancer partner, he’s incredible. Thank you to everyone.”
She added: “I’m proud of the whole process, I’m proud of the struggle and I’m proud that people got to see me. Thank you for having me.”
Pro partner Neil said: “I’ve been so lucky because I got a partner. And, I got you, you were the best. You were so good. She’s taught me so much.”
Alex and Neil will appear live on Strictly Come Dancing: It Takes Two on the sofa with Rylan Clark-Neal for their first interview live on Monday 2nd December from 6.30pm.
The remaining four couples will return to the dancefloor once more next week when Strictly Come Dancing returns on BBC One with the Semi Finals.
