Love Island’s Amber Davies won’t rule out a reunion with Kem Cetinay, but he says he’s happy being single.
Amber and Kem won Series 3 of ITV2’s Love Island in the summer and ended up sharing the £50,000 prize fund.
After almost six months together, the couple called it a day last month just before Christmas.
“With sadness, we’ve decided to separate,” they said in a joint statement. “We fell in love in the villa and want to thank all the fans of the show for supporting us.
“Our schedules made it difficult. We’ll remain good friends.”
Speaking to The Sun newspaper this week, Amber said a reunion was possible – even if the couple aren’t talking right now.
“We don’t talk. We’re having space at the minute,” she said. We’re having a lot of space because we go on social media and we see it every day. We can’t get away from it. So if we spoke it would make things ten times worse.”
Amber continued: “We’re very good friends. If I ever needed him, he’d be there in a shot. I know that for fact.
“So it’s the whole we need space. He works on himself. I work on myself. And you never know what might happen in the future. I’m not ruling out anything.”
However, Kem doesn’t appear to feel quite the same way.
He told the Daily Mail newspaper: “If I’m brutally honest, I’m pretty happy where I am at the moment.”
Kem added: “I’m happy being single… and I’m really happy with how things are going.”
Kem will be back on TV this Sunday night on ITV as Dancing On Ice returns for its third week.
He’ll be skating live once more for judges Jayne Torvill, Christopher Dean, formidable Jason Gardiner and choreographer extraordinare Ashley Banjo.
Celebs joining Love Island’s Kem on the cast include rugby hunk Max Evans, Corrie star Antony Cotton and X Factor singer Jake Quickenden.
