Love Island spoilers: Joe Garratt has doubts about Lucie Donlan

Joe Garratt admits to having doubts about Lucie Donlan in tonight’s Love Island.

The pair coupled up on the first day of the series before she paired up with Tommy Fury following his late arrival into the villa.

However Lucie and Joe recoupled last week and have remained together until now – but a split could be on the horizon.

In tonight’s episode, Joe notices that Lucie isn’t spending much time with the girls but that she is also particularly close with Tommy.

While the Islanders relax in the garden, Tommy and Lucie whisper on the beanbags before heading over to the kitchen to see if they can both eat a spoonful of chilli sauce in a fiery competition between the pals.

Joe watches on before telling the beach hut: “Lucie and Tommy always go off and have little chats.

“I know they’re just friends but it’s strange. She knows it’ll be affecting me. She’s not really caring that much.”

He then confides in Molly-Mae: “I want a happy villa. Happy families. Lucie is acting very selfishly.

“Who is she sitting with now? Tommy. I feel like she isn’t the person I met.”

Later, Joe speaks with Lucie about how he feels. He tells her: “The whole thing with Tommy, it is strange. You were with him for a good hour.”

Lucie explains: “Yes because I get on with him better than the girls.

“It doesn’t mean there is a romantic thing there,” she adds.

Joe admits: “You know I like you so much but I do doubt things at times.”

Meanwhile, Joe isn’t the only man in the villa with coupling troubles this weekend.

Anton Danyluk finds himself torn between new girl Elma Pazar and original Islander Anna Vakili.

Although he has been getting to know Elma on a romantic level, he still feels a loyalty to single Anna, who he has a strong friendship with.

Anton reflects in the Beach Hut, he says: “My heart is telling me one thing and my head is telling me another thing.”

A text soon arrives in the villa: “Islanders. Tonight, there will be a recoupling in which the boys will choose which girl they want to couple up with. #nomoreshapes #girlproblems #standbyyourman.”

With a recoupling on the horizon, Joe and Anton both have a lot on their minds but will they go with their heads or their hearts?

Love Island 2019 airs tonight at 9PM on ITV2.

The main episode is followed by After Sun with Caroline Flack on ITV2.
