Both host Caroline and narrator Iain will be back for Love Island’s fourth season this summer.

It’s the latest series of the ITV2 show which has proved a mega hit since its original revival in 2015.

In an interview with BUILD, Caroline and Iain gave some teasers about what to expect.

Caroline revealed she had already seen a glimpse of some of this year’s cast and promised that they had “gone up a notch.”

And she also confirmed rumours that this summer’s show would be the longest yet at a week longer than last year.

She said: (via the Daily Mirror) “We are here for an extra week longer.

“And a week in ‘Love Island’ relationships is like a year in real relationships – and a lot can happen in a year… It’s going to be the longest ever.”

But as for the rumours of this year’s show being set across two villas, Caroline said she was being left in the dark.

Meanwhile, Caroline claimed that very little of the show is planned in advance.

She explained: “This is the truth – the show produces itself. There’s no, ‘we’ll have an eviction here or another there’. When they put people in, like Muggy Mike last year, it’s because of what’s going on in the villa. I don’t think they can plan anything.”

As for when Love Island starts, ITV hasn’t confirmed that officially just yet.

But based on past years – and teasers from Caroline – Monday June 4 could be a possible start date for Love Island 2018.
