Louis Tomlinson album release date confirmed – pre-order here

Louis Tomlinson album release date set for 2020

Louis Tomlinson has announced the release date for his debut solo album.

The One Direction star has been working on the still to be released record for a number of years.

But it’s finally on its way, with Louis announcing this week that his album Walls will be out on 31st January 2020. You can pre-order the record here.

Louis told fans in a video on social media: “I’m really relieved to finally be here. Thank you very much for your patience, cheers!”

Speaking recently to 1883 Magazine about the album, Louis said: “I’m really looking forward to releasing more music in the next few months with my album coming early next year. I’m really excited to get this record out and getting back on the road too.

“It’s been a long process, but I’ve finally got everything into a place which I’m really happy with. I’m going to feel so relieved and proud when the fans get to hear the album!”

You can read the full interview with Louis in the magazine’s latest issue here.

Earlier in 2019, Louis took to social media to update his followers on his music, saying he was looking at things differently after the tragic death of his sister Félicité in March.

“Wanted to get this off my chest,” Louis began in a lengthy message shared on both Instagram and Twitter. “Someone recently said something very interesting about how so many people focus on the ‘end game’ without enjoying the doing.

“I’ve been thinking a lot more about what success means to me.

“I feel like I’ve been mistranslating it for the last 3 years.”

Louis, who recently released new single Kill My Mind, explained: “Everything I’ve ever known, in my career, is straight down the middle pop.

“My expectations and aspirations are all shaped around my experiences, as much as I try and stay realistic I couldn’t help but crave a ‘hit’ single.

“It’s because of this that I’ve spent so long on this album, trying to fit into top 40 radio when in fact maybe I should start with what I love and work from there instead of trying to write to a more specific formulae.

“Over the last few weeks I’ve put a lot of things in to perspective and in fact what I should be doing is forgetting about perception and to a certain degree worry less about being defined on commercial success.”

He continued: “I’m not here to compete with the likes of drake and Ariana grande.

“I’m here to make music I love and make my fans proud to say they’re a fan.

“Turning a page today. Enjoy today and enjoy the ride!

“Don’t get lost on the way up.”

Fans were quick to send their support to Louis, with one writing: “With everything you’ve been through and everything you’ve accomplished you’ve already succeeded in my book. Take your time and do whatever feels right for you ?”
