Ant and Dec are being tipped to reunite for I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here.
Ant stepped down from TV commitments earlier this year, leaving Dec to go solo on Saturday Night Takeaway.
It was announced in March that Ant was taking time off “for the foreseeable future” to seek treatment in rehab after being charged with drink driving.
Now sources claim that Ant’s recovery has been doing well and he could be back for I’m A Celebrity in the autumn.
“He did well in rehab,” a source said. “He feels like it has helped. That is what he needed, but he does not need any more for the time being.”
They added to the Daily Mirror newspaper: “I think he will be back for I’m a Celebrity.”
For now, Dec continues to go it alone.
ITV confirmed last month that he’ll present the live shows of Britain’s Got Talent 2018 solo.
Although Ant is currently appearing in the pre-recorded auditions, ITV said only Dec would appear in the live shows “while Ant steps down from his TV commitments for now”.
They added: “We send Ant all our love. And we know that Dec will do a brilliant job.”
Speaking at the TV Baftas on Sunday night, Amanda Holden said “(Ant) will be missed but Dec will do a sterling job.”
She added to Digital Spy: “Alesha and I are on hand to help out. Mands and Dec has a good ring to it!”
At the weekend, a source said that only doctors would decide when Ant was well enough to return to TV.
An insider told the Daily Mirror: “Ant is doing really well and all of his friends think he is in a much better place.
“But this time doctors, not TV bosses, will decide.”
I’m A Celebrity typically begins in November on ITV.
