Hollyoaks actor Malique Thompson-Dwyer tipped for I’m A Celebrity 2018 line-up

Who is taking part in I'm A Celebrity 2018? Latest contestant rumours

Hollyoaks actor Malique Thompson-Dwyer has become the latest name to be rumoured for I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! 2018.

Malique is relatively new to the world of soap, having joined the Channel 4 show as Prince McQueen just two years ago.

However, he’s recently been making waves after bagging a Best On-Screen Partnership award with co-star Theo Graham (a.k.a. Hunter McQueen).

Now Malique could be set for more TV exposure, as he’s apparently being considered for a stint in the jungle.

According to The Sun, the 20-year-old’s victory at the British Soap Awards earlier this year raised the eyebrows of I’m A Celebrity bosses.

“Jungle producers were keen to snap up a young star with a fresh following,” the paper’s source said. “Malique is over the moon about the gig and has been hitting up the gym already to make sure his body is as buff as possible by the time he goes to Oz.

“He knows this is a huge opportunity and wants to make sure it’s as fruitful as possible.”

Life in the Australian outback could prove tough for Malique, who also had a small role in King Arthur: Legend Of The Sword.

“He’s a city lad, so will find it tough living without his creature comforts,” the mole added. “But he’s up for a challenge.”

This week, Malique was quizzed on the rumours and told the Metro newspaper: “I heard about that too, you know!

“It’s all speculation, though – but if it did happen, it would be a good experience and a life changing one as well!”

As I’m A Celebrity’s eighteenth series creeps closer, speculation about the contestants is slowly beginning to heat up.

BBC presenter Nick Knowles has apparently been offered a six-figure sum to take on the Bushtucker Trials.

Inbetweeners actress Emily Atack is also said to have been in talks with ITV.

Other potential candidates include reality stars Olivia Attwood and Charlotte Dawson, and model Christine McGuinness.

I’m A Celebrity returns to our screens in November.
