High School Musical: The Musical: The Series: Season 4 release date on Disney+

High School Musical: The Musical: The Series‘s new season is officially on its way to Disney+ – and it’ll be the show’s last outing.

Fresh from the release of season 3 last July, Disney has announced the season 4 is its on its way.

Creator and exec producer Tim Federle said: “This series has been an epic adventure from the start and I’m beyond grateful that we get to keep making music, telling these stories, and showcasing these exceptional stars.”

High School Musical: The Musical: The Series season 4 will be released on 9 August 2023 on Disney+ with all episodes available.

However in sad news for fans, it’s been confirmed that the fourth season will be the show’s last.

Creator Tim Federle said: “After 4 years at East High, it’s time to graduate. This will be our final, endgame season.

“This show brought the most extraordinary cast —and crew, and collaborators — to my life. To the fans who embraced our super-meta series: we “don’t not love you.”

“We can’t wait to share our epic 4th act with you all. SEE YOU ALL AT GRADUATION!”

A teaser of the new episodes shares: “After an epic summer at Camp Shallow Lake, the Wildcats return to East High where they prepare a stage production of High School Musical 3: Senior Year.

“But plans are disrupted when Principal Gutierrez announces that Disney has decided to make the long-awaited “High School Musical 4: The Reunion” movie on location at their beloved high school.”

The cast of the most recent season featured Joshua Bassett (Ricky), Sofia Wylie (Gina), Matt Cornett (E.J.), Julia Lester (Ashlyn), Dara Reneé (Kourtney), Frankie Rodriguez (Carlos), Saylor Bell Curda (Maddox) and Adrian Lyles (Jet).

They’re joined by Aria Brooks (Alex), Liamani Segura (Emmy) and Ben Stillwell (Channing) and guest stars Corbin Bleu (as himself), Meg Donnelly (Val), Jason Earles (Dewey Wood), Kate Reinders (Miss Jenn), Olivia Rose Keegan (Lily) and Olivia Rodrigo (Nini), Larry Saperstein (Big Red), and Joe Serafini (Seb).
