Geordie Shore’s former cast members could return for a new spin-off series.
The likes of Gaz Beadle, Marnie Simpson, Sophie Kasaei and Aaron Chalmers are reportedly in talks for their own show.
The Sun reports that MTV is in discussions with the famous reality stars for a brand new series.
“MTV bosses wanted to give Geordie Shore fans an update about their favourite stars so have created a spin off,” an insider said. “The show will follow the stars in their lives now and update fans on what they’re doing.
“Marnie is running her beauty empire and Gaz is a first timed dad – so there’s plenty to talk about.
An insider previously said they had high hopes for the show.
“Bosses are really excited and think this mini spin off series for all the original stars will really take off,” they said last year. “It’s early days but everyone is on board and really excited about what the future holds for them at MTV.”
Meanwhile, the main Geordie Shore series is set to undergo a “massive shake up” with a new look cast.
“They’re thinking about bringing in an age limit and keeping the stars of the show to under 25s,” a source suggested.
Geordie Shore first aired on MTV in 2011 and has since aired 18 series.
The latest run – Season 19 – will air later in 2019 and feature new cast members Beau Brennan, Tahlia Chung, Bethan Kershaw, and Natalie Phillips.
