Celebrity MasterChef 2020 Christmas cast, number of episodes and when it's on TV

BBC One is has confirmed two all star Christmas specials of Celebrity MasterChef – here’s who’s on the line up.

Former contestants from the cookery competition will return for two festive episodes later this year.

Judges John Torode and Gregg Wallace will inviting eight of the most memorable celebrities from series past, back to the MasterChef kitchen.

The first episode (Monday, 21 December at 9PM) features broadcaster and journalist Janet Street-Porter, actor Christopher Biggins, broadcaster Dev Griffin and TV personality Vicky Pattison.

The second (Wednesday, 23 December at 9PM) will feature Strictly Come Dancing judge, choreographer and director, Craig Revel Horwood, entrepreneur and TV presenter Amar Latif, actress Crissy Rock and entrepreneur, businessman and TV personality Spencer Matthews.

The celebrities face some classic MasterChef challenges with a Christmas twist.

First up is the infamous Invention Test – and Janet, Christopher, Dev and Vicky must select their ingredients from a seasonal advent calendar while Craig, Amar, Crissy and Spencer create a dish from ingredients found in a Secret Santa present box.

Then a Christmas-themed Pairs Test see the four celebrities cooking seasonal favourites before they are challenged to cook a two-course meal.

In one episode the celebrities much create their Ultimate Christmas Dinner using well-known seasonal ingredients and in the second episode prepare an alternative Christmas dinner where they are asked to cook what they’d really like to eat over the festive period.

Expect a real cracker from the Christmas MasterChef kitchen with plenty of laughs, banter, songs and some astonishing food. The celebrities go all out as one cook from each episode will be crowned Celebrity MasterChef Christmas Champion.

Hosted by Gregg and John with voice over from India Fisher, Celebrity MasterChef brings a huge mix of who’s who of show business, drama, design, singing, and sport in a culinary competition.

Riyadh Khalaf won the latest series earlier this year, following in the footsteps of past winners Greg Rutherford MBE, John Partridge, Angellica Bell, Alexis Conran, Kimberly Wyatt, Sophie Thompson, Ade Edmondson, Emma Kennedy, Phil Vickery, Lisa Faulkner, Jayne Middlemiss, Liz McClarnon, Nadia Sawalha and Matt Dawson.

The show airs on BBC One.
