Are The Apprentice candidates paid? YES – but not much!

How much The Apprentice 2017 candidates are paid has reportedly been revealed.

To be honest, we didn’t even know they got anything.

But yes, apparently The Apprentice contestants do get a small fee while appearing on the show to cover expenses.

According to the Evening Standard, each of the group is give £2,000, regardless of how long they stay in the process.

For those who only last the week, it’s not too shabby.

However it’s a far cry from the grand prize of a £250,000 business investment from Lord Sugar.

And with candidates typically giving up their day jobs to appear on the show, £2,000 doesn’t go far.

Jeff Wan became the second contestant to be axed from the BBC One series this year and confessed he had since been looking for a new job after quitting his old one.

He told Radio Times: “I actually left a career in finance to join the show so I gave in my resignation a week before I came into the house. So right now, I’m just looking for opportunities!”

The Apprentice 2017 concludes tonight at 9PM on BBC One with the final.

The Apprentice 2017 winner will be crowned in tonight’s final task as Sarah Lynn and James White go head to head.

There have been ten weeks of tasks and the interviews are now over after a triple firing that saw the final two candidates chosen.

Sarah and James are the only two left standing and tonight they face the FINAL where one of them will go on to win Lord Sugar’s £250,000 investment and become his new business partner.

This evening the pair must launch their businesses to win Lord Sugar’s backing in the final boardroom of the series.

As usual, the past candidates return to lend a helping hand as Sarah and James choose key colleagues to try and help them secure the £250,000 investment.
