Here’s all you need to know about ITV’s new All Star Musicals 2019 special.
From the air date and judges to the contestants taking part, here’s everything about the upcoming TV show.
All Star Musicals will feature a line up of seven famous names, all of whom will be taking to the stage at the London Palladium to perform an iconic musical theatre number.
They will be aiming to impress the audience and the star panel, judging them based on their performing credentials.
All Star Musicals judges’ and hosts
All Star Musicals on ITV will be hosted by musical legend John Barrowman, who played lead roles in various musicals both in the West End and on Broadway, including Miss Saigon, The Phantom of the Opera and Sunset Boulevard.
West End icon Elaine Paige – whose credits range from Cats to Grease – will mentor the celebs as they prepare to embark on this once in a lifetime performance.
She will take up a place on the judging panel alongside Broadway icon, Tony and Emmy winner Kristin Chenoweth, dance sensation Kevin Clifton and West End star Trevor Dion Nicholas, currently performing in Disney’s Aladdin.
All Star Musicals line up
The contestants taking part include Broadcaster Alan Titchmarsh, money expert Martin Lewis, Only Fools and Horses actress Tessa Peake Jones and I’m A Celebrity: Extra Camp host Joel Dommett.
Joining them are comedian London Hughes, Coronation Street star Daniel Brocklebank and Emmerdale actress Amy Walsh.
They’ll tackle some of the biggest musical numbers from shows such as Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Chicago and Hairspray.
After each performance, the panel will award the celebrities a score and at the end of the night, these scores are combined with the studio audience vote to crown one celebrity the All Star Musicals champion.
All Star Musicals – when is it on TV?
The special will air on Sunday March 17 between 6PM and 8PM.
