You season 3 release date, cast and trailer as Netflix series returns in 2021

You 2021 release date and number of episodes from series 3

Hit Netflix series You will return for a third season in 2021 with a release date now confirmed.

Netflix has announced that season 3 of You will drop worldwide on 15 October from 8AM UK ime. The new outing will have 10 episodes.

Before then a dramatic trailer from the series has dropped which begins with Joe (Penn Badgley) narrating: “In my history of scared, this is the most scared I’ve ever been.”

Scenes of Joe embracing fatherhood with Love Quinn (Victoria Pedretti) and their newborn baby follow – before things take a dark turn.

“We both have done bad things. I wanted to move here so we could start new,” Joe narrates. “We are just the nice, normal neighbours next door. We are a team, the best team.”

Joe is seen stalking a new woman while Love gets jealous before more shots show the pair seeming to bury a body.

“‘Till death do us part,” says Love.

A teaser from Netflix shares: “In Season 3, Joe and Love, now married and raising their baby, have moved to the balmy Northern California enclave of Madre Linda, where they’re surrounded by privileged tech entrepreneurs, judgmental mommy bloggers, and Insta-famous biohackers.

“Joe is committed to his new role as a husband and dad but fears Love’s lethal impulsiveness. And then there’s his heart. Could the woman he’s been searching for all this time live right next door? Breaking out of a cage in a basement is one thing. But the prison of a picture-perfect marriage to a woman who’s wise to your tricks? Well, that’ll prove a much more complicated escape.”

Penn Badgley and Victoria Pedretti are both confirmed to reprise their roles in season 3 as Joe Goldberg and Love Quinn respectively.

Saffron Burrows returns as Love’s mother Dottie while new cast include Dylan Arnold, Tati Gabrielle, Michaela McManus, Shannon Chan-Kent, Ben Mehl, Chris O’Shea, Christopher Sean, Bryan Safi, Mackenzie Astin, Ayelet Zurer, Jack Fisher and Mauricio Lara

First debuting in 2018, You is a psychological thriller created by Greg Berlanti and Sera Gamble based on Caroline Kepnes’ best-selling novel of the same name.
