The winner of The Bachelor UK 2019 has been revealed in tonight’s final episode.
The dating contest sees single women compete to win the affections of one hunky eligible bachelor. 31-year-old personal training studio owner Alex Marks was this year’s Bachelor.
Each episode, the Bachelor gives roses to the ladies he wants to stick around – while those who don’t get one are immediately eliminated.
After a six year break, The Bachelor returned to UK TV for a new series earlier this month (March) on Channel 5. Airing over 10 episodes, the series concluded tonight (March 14).
In this evening’s season finale, the winner of The Bachelor 2019 was revealed as Alicia Oates, a 25-year-old Events Co-ordinator from Essex.
She was in the final alongside 30-year-old singer and vocal coach Charlotte Tyler from Worthing and Charlotte Edwards, a 36-year-old Full-time Model from London.
Unfortunately the series did not reveal if the Alex and Alicia are currently still together since filming ended last year.
And that left a lot of people annoyed, with one writing on Twitter: “Ok i need to know if Alex and Alicia are still together ?!! #TheBachelorUK”
Another sought out host Mark Wright and asked: “@MarkWright_ @channel5_tv are they still together… #TheBachelorUK”
The Bachelor’s new series kicked off last Monday. In the first show, a shock twist saw the girls immediately vote to evict two girls. Faran Cooper and Natasha Mazaheri received the most votes from their fellow ladies and were given the axe.
Then, the first rose ceremony saw Chloƫ Adlerstein and Lois Bowden become the first two ladies eliminated by The Bachelor, Alex. Then in episode two we said goodbye to Claudia Sowaha and Victoria Bailey.
In Episode 3, Lilly Douse was eliminated while a shock twist saw the return of Faran and Natasha from their eliminations on the first day.
Tonique Campbell and Tara Walls were sent home in Episode 4 while before Episode 5 saw Abbey Carter eliminated together with Faran (again), while Natasha quit the series.
Next, both Georgina Leahy and Frankie Maddin were eliminated while Gabriella Pisani quit the show.
In a new twist, two newbies – Annabelle ‘Annie’ Lawrence and Charlotte Tyler joined the villa – however Annabelle was eliminate the next day while Reanne Brown quit.
In Episode 8, Robyn Tollady was sent home in the rose ceremony leaving Alicia Oates, Charlotte Edwards and Charlotte Tyler in the final.
