Series three of FX’s Welcome to Wrexham will be released on Disney+ on 3 May 2024.

The Emmy-nominated hit docuseries will be back on the streamer with the premiere of the first two episodes, followed by a new episode each week.

Meanwhile, a fourth series has already been confirmed.

Welcome to Wrexham is a show that captures the hopes and struggles of a working-class city in North Wales, UK, under the stewardship of two Hollywood celebrities.

Rob McElhenney (It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia) and Ryan Reynolds (Deadpool) take on the challenge of managing Wrexham AFC, the third oldest professional football club in the world.

In 2020, Rob and Ryan acquired the 5th tier Red Dragons, aiming to transform the club into a globally celebrated underdog story. Their efforts bore fruit as the club, after enduring 15 challenging seasons in the National League, secured promotion to the English Football League.

With this ascension to League Two, the intensity escalates, and the club grapples with injuries and other hurdles. Meanwhile, the city’s devoted staff and fans gear up for the exhilarating yet daunting challenges that accompany their rise in the football league hierarchy. The pressing question remains: will Wrexham AFC meet these challenges and ascend further?

Additionally, Wrexham AFC’s Women’s Team, riding high after an undefeated season, has advanced to the Welsh Adran Premier League.

With new talent, a revamped pitch, and tougher competition, their journey to maintain dominance and establish their prominence in the league continues.

The third season of Welcome to Wrexham promises an even closer look at the team’s journey. With cameras now allowed unprecedented access on the pitch, viewers will get an intimate glimpse into the locker room and stand shoulder-to-shoulder with the players during some of the most significant matches in Wrexham AFC’s history.

Watch seasons one and two now on Disney+.
