Waterloo Road 2023 cast revealed for new series of BBC One school drama

Waterloo Road has returned to BBC One – here’s a full run down of who’s on the cast of the new reboot.

The hit school drama previously aired on the BBC between 2006 and 2015 set in a comprehensive school.

Now a brand new revival is on its way, set and made in Greater Manchester with both new and returning cast.

The BBC say the new series of Waterloo Road will use its rich history of telling entertaining and gripping human stories while tackling the important issues of the day.

The new series of Waterloo Road will return on BBC One form Tuesday, 16 May 2023 at 8PM.

Alternatively, the full series of seven episodes will be available to watch on BBC iPlayer from the same day.

A teaser of the first episode shares: “A community football match gets underway, and as Dwayne clashes with a new pupil whose arrival causes fireworks, he continues to rebel – finding himself trapped in a dangerous situation. Faced with the realities of fatherhood, Joe and Mike begin to question their future.

“Elsewhere, Kai struggles with his feelings for Preston, and Danny makes a bold move as his future hangs in the balance. Kim has an uphill battle on her hands, and as she tries to introduce a new initiative to the school, she’s rocked by a blast from the past.”
