Britain’s Got Talent auditions – week 7

Michael Sandwick

61-year-old Michael Sandwick from New York produced a bizarre mash up of music and dance which saw him pole-dancing to The Sound Of Music. It split the panel with yeses from David and Amanda but nos from Simon and Alesha.

Dr Dance

Dr Peter Lovatt – aka Dr Dance – hit the stage with a message about wanting to get the nation dancing. While he won over the audience and three of the judges, Simon said no.

Truro Cathedral

The Truro Cathedral Choir from Cornwall gave a tremendous performance of Can You Feel The Love Tonight which hit all the right notes with the judges to see them through with four yeses.

Mind2Mind

Made up of couple Marina from Ukraine and James from Milton Keynes, Mind2Mind blew the judges minds with their telepathic powers. Their audition ended by helping Simon and Amanda read one another’s minds in a trick that left the panel stunned.

Tony Rudd

Tony Rudd a 58-year-old teacher from Bournemouth shared his comedy impressions ranging from Darth Vader to Michael McIntyre, The Cube to a Minion. With four yeses, Tony made it through to the next round.

Jacob Jones

Barber instructor Jacob Jones from Surrey got four yeses from the judges after singing Joe Cocker’s You Are So Beautiful – but wanted one more yes. After his audition, he invited his girlfriend on stage to propose, and thankfully she also gave him a yes.

Dan Rhodes

15-year-old magician Dan Rhodes from Manchester impressed the judges as he sawed Amanda in half using a homemade cardboard contraption. With four yeses, the teenager made it through to the next round.

Libby and Charlie

11-year-old best friends Libby and Charlie impressed the panel with their dance skills – and cheeky attitude. The pair, who plan to spend the prize money on a holiday to Bora Bora if they win, got four yeses for their routine to A Thousand Years.

Leanne Mya

31-year-old Leanne Mya from London stunned the judges with their voice as she performed a cover of Lay Me Down by Sam Smith after opening up about surviving the Grenfell Tower Disaster.
