The Voice UK announces brand new change for 2019’s series

The Voice UK returns to ITV in 2019 – and this time trios can apply as well!

The Voice UK will return to ITV next year – with trios able to audition for the first time alongside the usual solo acts and duos.

It’s not yet been confirmed if this year’s coaches –, Sir Tom Jones, Olly Murs and Jennifer Hudson – will be back for the third series on ITV.

But already the search for the UK’s best new vocal talent is on once more, with applications now open for solo singers, duos and now trios.

To apply, you must be aged at least 16 (sixteen) years of age on or before 1 October 2018. Those under 18 must have the consent of their parent or guardian.

Those wanting to apply to The Voice 2019 should head to the website –

ITV Studios Creative Director Katie Rawcliffe said of the new change: “We know there are many talented trios out there across the UK and we want to offer them the chance to show off their vocal harmonies on The Voice UK stage.”

The current series of The Voice UK airs its final live this Saturday night on ITV from 8:30PM.

Following last weekend’s live semi-final, four contestants remain on The Voice 2018.

In The Voice UK final for Team Tom is 18-year-old student Ruti Olajugbagbe from Essex. On Team Jennifer is Belle Voci, a duo made up of friends 26-year-old Sophie from Norwich and 25-year-old Emily from Mayfair.

Team Will’s finalist is 16-year-old student Donel Mangena from Southampton. Lastly, on Team Olly is 27-year-old student Lauren Bannon from Weymouth.
