The Voice Kids: Pixie Lott doesn’t know if she’ll be back next year

Pixie Lott doesn’t know if she’ll return for The Voice UK Kids next summer.

But the popstar doesn’t know if she’ll be invited back for the next series next summer.

“I don’t know. We’ll have to wait and see,” Pixie told new! magazine. “But it was really fun – one of the best things I’ve done.

“The kids were all absolutely amazing. When they sang, it gave me goosebumps.”

Presented by Emma Willis just like the adult version, The Voice Kids is open to talented young soloists between the ages of seven and 14.

The first stage was, as always on The Voice, the blind auditions. Unlike in the adult show, if the coaches don’t press their buzzer their chairs will still turn so they can give feedback and encouragement.

Those that make it onto a team then head into the battles which on The Voice Kids will see three acts competing for a place in the semi-finals before a live final.

14-year-old Jess Folley was crowned the first ever winner of The Voice UK earlier this year, securing £30,000 towards her musical education plus a family holiday to Disneyland Paris.

While the line up for The Voice Kids hasn’t been confirmed, it has been announced that Olly Murs will be joining the main show for next year.

He’ll be sitting alongside, Sir Tom Jones and Jennifer Hudson in the spinning red chairs.

Pixie said: “I think signing Olly is a really great idea. He’ll mix in well with the other coaches because he’s really charming and likeable. I think they’ll all get on.”

The Voice UK will air on ITV in 2018.
