Vanity Fair cast and spoilers for ITV’s epic new drama revealed

Vanity Fair start date on TV

Vanity Fair is ITV’s brand new epic drama – who’s on the cast and what’s it all about?

The new series will air in 2018 on ITV in the UK and on Amazon Prime in the US.

The air date for Vanity Fair has been confirmed for Sunday nights at 9pm on ITV.

Vanity Fair’s seventh and final episode airs this evening, October 7.

Vanity Fair cast

Oldham-born actress and rising Hollywood star Olivia Cooke begun filming as Becky Sharp for the ITV adaptation of William Makepeace Thackeray’s Vanity Fair last year.

Cooke (star of Steven Spielberg’s film Ready Player One) will be joined by a star-studded cast including musician and actor Johnny Flynn (Genius) as Dobbin, Martin Clunes (Doc Martin) as Sir Pitt Crawley, Frances de La Tour (The History Boys) as Miss Matilda Crawley, Suranne Jones (Doctor Foster) as Miss Pinkerton and Michael Palin as Thackeray himself.

Also joining the ensemble cast are Claudia Jessie (Line of Duty) who plays Becky’s confidante Amelia Sedley, with theatrical titan Simon Russell Beale and Claire Skinner (Outnumbered) as her parents, and David Flynn (School of Rock) as her brother Joss.

Plus there is Tom Bateman (Murder On The Orient Express) who takes the role of Captain Rawdon Crawley and Charlie Rowe (Salvation) as George Osborne.

Vanity Fair spoilers

In the sixth episode last week, Becky (Olivia Cooke) worked out how to live well on nothing a year, but flew too high as she joined the dizzy ranks of lords, ladies and kings.

The series concludes this evening as Becky is lost and then she is found, but will she have a happy ending?
