The Voice UK’s Connie Lamb one to watch after Demi Lovato cover

17-year-old Connie Lamb wowed The Voice UK judges tonight with a cover of a Demi Lovato hit.

The teenager from Suffolk is currently a student at a musical theatre school.

This weekend she sang for Jennifer Hudson, Will.i.am, Sir Tom Jones and Olly Murs on The Voice UK’s blind auditions.

Connie was one of eight acts appearing on this evening’s show, hoping to get the coaches hitting their buzzers.

Her song choice was Skyscraper by Demi Lovato and you can watch her blind audition below…

Following the pitch perfect performance, Connie got two turns from the coaches with both Sir Tom and Olly hitting their buzzers.

“Tom, I said don’t turn!” joked Olly at the end of the performance.

Olly pitched: “Ive been waiting for people to come along to make me stop and press this button. You did, that was absolutely amazing.

“You’re current, young and I think you’ve got huge potential to go on and be a star.”

Sir Tom added: “I was listening to the tone of your voice, which I love. I don’t think you put a foot wrong.”

Although she didn’t turn, Jennifer Hudson praised Connie: “I love the way your notes were soaring, you got a lot of voice to let out and be heard.”

Making her decision, Connie said: “It’s such a hard decision.

“Tom, you’re such an icon, it’s insane.

“Olly, you’ve been through this as well. I think I’m going to go with… Team Olly!”
