The Voice UK contestants reveal charity single in support of the NHS

Contestants from The Voice UK have released a special single to help support the NHS.

With the live shows of this year’s contest postponed, a number of contestants from the 2020 series have got together for a special performance.

They’ve covered Stevie Wonder’s ‘As’ to help raise funds for NHS Charities Together.

The group said: “We are the contestants from ITV’s The Voice UK 2020 and we are using our voices to spread a message of positivity and help raise money for NHS Charities Together.

“Music is powerful and we’ve chosen Stevie Wonder’s ‘As’ with its powerful lyrics as a way to raise spirits, spread hope and give back to our wonderful NHS!”

The cover, which you can watch above, was put together by Belle Noir and you can donate online to their fundraiser here.

Semi-finalist Brooke Scullion said: “While we’re all eager to get back on The Voice stage for the semi finals, this is a great way for us to all come together from our own homes and show our support for NHS workers and all the amazing work they’re doing, they’re true heroes!”

As for when The Voice 2020 live shows will be on TV, ITV has yet to make an announcement.

They previously said of postponing the semi-final and final: “We have, taken the difficult decision to postpone until later this year The Voice UK’s live semi final and final, which were due on air on the 28th March and 4th April, and are working to replace them in the schedule with some bespoke Voice specials.”

Whenever they do air, the live shows will see the finalists singing for the public’s vote for the first time this year.

Only four acts can go through to the Final, where one will be crowned the winner.
