The Voice UK 2019: The best blind auditions from week five

It was the fifth week of The Voice UK 2019 last weekend an here are the best blind auditions from Saturday.

As always, the first stage of the series were the blind auditions where the contestants must hold their nerve as they sing to the backs of the coaches.

If the coaches like what they hear, they hit their button to spin around and select that artist for their teams of ten. If more than one spins then it’s up to the act to pick which team to join.

Based on online hits and shares over the past few days, we’ve ranked the most popular performances from Saturday’s fifth round of blind auditions.

Here’s our countdown…

Seth Oraeki

17-year-old Seth Oraeki is an A level student from Bedford. Seth performed ‘Jealous’ by Labrinth for his blind audition, securing spins from both Jennifer Hudson and will.i.am, opting to join Team Will.

Moya

27-year-old Moya from Jersey previously released an album at the age of 22 but lost her confidence when her career stalled. At her blind audition, Moya performed ‘Grace’ by Rag’n’Bone Man and got all four coaches to turn. With a full selection to pick from, Moya chose to join Team JHUD.

Equip To Overcome

Equip To Overcome are a trio consisting of Gabrielle (20), Yolanda (20) and Shalom (20) from Kent. Their audition song – a cover of ‘Blinded By Your Grace’ by Stormzy – got JHUD, Sir Tom and will.i.am all turning. After a group chat, they chose to join Team Tom.

Nikki Ambers

22-year-old Nikki Ambers from London currently works as a dog walker having previously been a part of a girl group when she was a teenager. Nikki got both Olly and Sir Tom to turn with her cover of ‘Better Now’ by Post Malone at the blind auditions, choosing to join Team Olly.
