Luke Swatman v Nicole Dennis
Team Jennifer Hudson’s Luke and Nicole went head to head on Saturday, singing ‘Your Song’ by Elton John. With no steals left at this point the pressure was on and both gave an incredible performance, leaving Jennifer with a near impossible decision. She eventually declared Nicole the winner, meaning Luke made an exit from the competition.
Moya v Bethzienna Williams
Team Jennifer features again next, with Moya and Bethzienna Williams covering ‘Never Tear Us Apart’ by INXS. The performance saw Jennifer declare Moya the winner but it wasn’t over for Bethzienna, who was stolen by Sir Tom Jones.
Peter Donegan v Deana Walmsley
Sir Tom had to make a tough choice between Peter Donegan and Deana Walmsle after their beautiful rendition of ‘Make You Feel My Love’ by Bob Dylan. Less of a battle and more a duet, the performance from the pair put Tom in a tricky position. With no steals available, Deana was named the winner and Peter was eliminated.
Mollie Hocking v Connie Lamb
Olly Murs’ ladies Mollie Hocking and Connie Lamb gave a powerful, emotional performance as they belted out With You from Ghost The Musical in the first round of the battles. Olly named Mollie the winner, while Connie found herself stolen by Jennifer.
Sarah Tucker v Craig Forsyth
It’s no wonder Team Jennifer is looking like the one to beat, featuring for a third time on this countdown. Sarah Tucker and Craig Forsyth’s cover of Against All Odds’ by Mariah & Westlife was impressive, which was bad news for Jennifer. She declared Sarah Tucker the winner and with no steals left, Craig was eliminated from the competition.
