The Voice UK 2019: Ronan Keating’s daughter Missy auditions for the coaches

Ronan Keating’s daughter Missy auditioned for The Voice UK 2019 tonight.

This evening saw the last round of blind audition of The Voice for this year as the coaches competed to complete their teams., Sir Tom Jones, Jennifer Hudson and Olly Murs make up this year’s panel and only had a few spots left.

Going into the final episode, Will, Jennifer and Olly had just one free spot while Tom had the two places to fill.

Hoping to be one of the acts to get the coaches to turn was duo GGMK, made up of best friends Georgia and Missy from County Dublin.

The two 17-year-olds revealed they had grown up around music with Missy explaining: “Our families have inspired us so much. We’ve grown up around music, my dad Ronan being in Boyzone he was my age when he started.

“I just want to start my career now and get a move on. I’m going to be terrified. Just praying the chairs turn.”

The pair performed ‘Forget You’ by CeeLo Green but unfortunately didn’t get any turns from the coaches, with only Tom and Olly at that point having free spaces.

Other acts hoping to see the chairs spinning on The Voice UK this weekend included 19-year-old Shivon Kane from London who sings ‘Fine Line’ by Mabel & Not3s, 29-year-old Amy Hawthorn from Livingston who sings ‘Best of My Love’ by The Emotions and 27-year-old Philipa Akers from Milton Keynes who performs ‘Ain’t Nobody’ by Rufus & Chaka Khan.

Also auditioning were 27-year-old Ayanam Udoma from Manchester, 26-year-old Kieron Smith from Liverpool, 25-year-old Chloe Jones from Manchester and 25-year-old Ryan Simpson from West Wales.

We also met 32-year-old Rainy Hall from Essex, 20-year-old Lauren Hope from Blackpool and 27-year-old Marina Simioni from London.

Following the audition stages, acts who got a spin will go forward to the battle rounds where they’ll compete to win a place in the knockouts. From there, the final contestants will compete in the live shows.

The Voice 2019 continues Saturday nights on ITV.
