The Voice UK 2019: Grace Latchford impresses with original song

Grace Latchford impressed The Voice UK coaches with her own original song this weekend.

The teenager became the first ever act on The Voice to get a spin with her own music.

17-year-old Grace is currently a student and performed a self-penned original song called ‘Love Says’ for the coaches.

Jennifer Hudson, Will.i.am, Sir Tom Jones and Olly Murs were all sat in the spinning red chairs as Grace sang her song.

After the performance, Grace got Sir Tom turning and as the only coach to do so she automatically joined his team.

“I love the sound of your voice,” said Sir Tom before Grace revealed it was her own song she had performed.

“That’s even better if you can write songs like that then I’m so glad I turned. I’m thrilled to bits,” he added.

I’m a big fan of anything to do with love, movies, books anything… but I’ve never actually had a boyfriend. I’ve always wanted one! I just drew a lot of inspiration from what I see around me, the movies I watch, the other songs I listen to.

Will.i.am then remarked: “The moment you actually get your heart broken you’re going to write the awesomest music ever. I look forward to it.”

Grace laughed: “I can’t wait!”
