Duo Alfie and Ava got the first spins on the new series of The Voice Kids.

Will.i.am, Pixie Lott and Danny Jones returned to the spinning red chairs for The Voice Kids this year, together with new coach Jessie J.

One of the acts impressing this weekend were duo 9-year-old Ava and 10-year-old Alfie, best friends from Scotland.

They performed Photograph by Ed Sheeran for their blind audition.

Described as a cheeky ‘old married couple’, the pair got Will.i.am to turn for their performance.

“We wanted you Will!” reacted Alfie.

“We’re going to have fun on our team,” Will said.

Chatting to the coaches after their audition, Will branded the pair “little adults” as Ava revealed she had asked Alfie out but was still awaiting a decision.

Once more hosted by Emma Willis, The Voice Kids 2019 is open to talented young duos and soloists between the ages of seven and 14.

One young singer will walk away with a prize of £30,000 bursary towards their musical education plus a dream family holiday to Orlando.

The public will ultimately crown the winner of The Voice Kids in a live final later this year.

For now, The Voice Kids auditions continue Saturday nights on ITV.

You can watch full episodes online via the ITV Hub.

Those who make it through the blind auditions will go on to compete in the battle rounds later in the series, followed by the semi-final stages.
