The Bachelor UK spoilers: One girl left “broken-hearted” in series finale

There is a brutal ending to The Bachelor UK this week, host Mark Wright has teased.

The dating contest sees single women compete to win the affections of one hunky eligible bachelor.

Each week, the Bachelor gives roses to the ladies he wants to stick around – while those who don’t get one are immediately eliminated.

After a six year break, The Bachelor UK is back airing on Channel 5 from 10PM and will conclude this Thursday night.

Appearing on Channel 4’s Sunday Brunch at the weekend, host Mark Wright teased what’s to come in the final few episodes.

“I do know the result, yes. It has finished,” Mark said.

He revealed that The Bachelor – 31-year-old Alex Marks – falls for one girl and it leaves another woman “broken-hearted”.

Mark explained: “Going to the end, [Alex] really does fall, and the two girls who are left at the end – I can’t say too much – but they’ve both seriously fallen.

“So one of them gets broken-hearted, and one of them is really happy.”

He continued: “It is hard, and there are a lot of harsh twists as well and I have to be a part of that. I like to be the nice guy, and in this show there’s a lot of times that I have to go into the villa and deliver a bit of news that the girls don’t want to hear.

“I think the reason that dating shows like this work so well, is because very quickly it turns around.

“You’ll see 90% of the girls fell for him, and when they went home there was genuinely crying about the fact that The Bachelor hasn’t chosen them.”

The Bachelor UK airs at 10PM nightly on Channel 5. The series finale airs this Thursday evening in a two hour special.

Sunday Brunch airs Sundays at 9.30am on Channel 4.
