Strictly’s Alex Scott slams claims she didn’t want to dance with Neil Jones

Strictly Come Dancing’s Alex Scott has hit back at claims she didn’t want to dance with Neil Jones.

Footballer Alex returned to the dance floor on Saturday night with pro partner Neil who missed the past two shows due to injury.

This morning, Alex slammed a report which suggested she was “fuming” at reuniting with Neil after dancing with Kevin Clifton for two weeks.

Responding to the claims, Alex wrote on Twitter: “Just woke up to this news ?

“Contrary to these reports and trying to get a headline this is not the case at all ha.

“I think you can see from the joy on our face last night as we danced our Jive #teamred is very happy to back together @Mr_NJones”

Alex added: “Got to admit it though, I do feel like the luckiest girl alive. Not everyone gets to dance with two amazing people on @bbcstrictly

“who would ever want to complain about that, lol @keviclifton is part of #teamred”

In last night’s episode, Alex and Neil danced a Jive to Let’s Twist Again by Chubby Checke, scoring 31 points.

Taking to social media after the live show, Alex said: “That Jive was FUN!! What a week, what a night and I’m out here having the time of my life ?

“Welcome back to the dance floor @mr_njonesofficial and @keviclifton all the work you did for us this week that nobody will see.. WOW. Please vote for us to keep this journey going #teamred”

Strictly Come Dancing returns to BBC One tonight with the latest results on Sunday 10th November at 7.20pm on BBC One.

The couple with the lowest combined scores from the judges and public vote will face the dance-off. It’s then up to the judges to decide who they want to save.

Plus, there will be a musical performance from West End and Hollywood superstar Luke Evans.

The celebs that make it through this weekend will pack their bags and head to Blackpool for Strictly’s traditional special from the Tower Ballroom.
