Alexandra Burke has admitted to breaking down during Strictly Come Dancing after hateful Twitter comments.
The former X Factor winner previously hit back at “hurtful” users of the social media website for their messages to her.
Now opening up about the hate, Alexandra told the Daily Mirror newspaper: “I can’t help reading the negative comments on social media about me, and it can upset me, I’m only human.
“There have been days when I’ve broken down.”
She added: “I’ve been on stage since the age of five and always wanted this career. I feel so lucky to have it, but there are downsides.
“I’ve been taught to have a thick skin and try to control my feelings.
“It’s just a shame some people can’t see how hard I’m working – there’s nothing fake about that. Gorka and I know what the truth is.”
Meanwhile, Alexandra rubbished press reports suggesting she and pro partner Gorka Marquez had been clashing.
She raved about the professional dancer: “Gorka’s just been such a fantastic person to lean on during this time. We’ve got such a great connection. We share the star sign Virgo, so we’re perfectionists who love to work really hard and know when it’s time to chill.
“We want to create something that’s unforgettable to us personally. I know we’ll be friends for life.”
This weekend the final couples will each dance three times: Their showdance, a favourite dance from the series, and a pick from the judges.
Alex and Gorka’s showdance will be to There’s No Business Like Showbusiness by Ethel Merman while the judges have chosen them the American Smooth to Wouldn’t It Be Lovely from My Fair Lady.
The couples’ favourite choices will be revealed on the night.
This year there will be no eliminations in the final, with all four couples dancing until the end of the night where the winner will be announced.
Strictly Come Dancing 2017 airs Saturday night from 6:30PM on BBC One.
