Strictly Come Dancing is confirmed to return to Blackpool in 2022!

The Strictly Come Dancing 2022 Blackpool special will air on Saturday 19 November.

The BBC has also confirmed this year’s Strictly will welcome back its regular themed weeks including Movie Week, Halloween Week and Musicals Week.

Plus, new for 2022, will be a special BBC-themed week to mark 100 years of the BBC. It will see the celebs and their pro partners take to the Strictly ballroom floor, either dancing to a theme tune from an iconic BBC programme or in tribute to one of the BBC’s most loved services.

Strictly’s Executive Producer Sarah James said: “We know how much viewers love the Strictly themed weeks so it’s fantastic to be able to announce a new one, celebrating the BBC’s centenary.

“It’s the icing on the cake to be able to confirm that we are returning to the iconic Blackpool Tower Ballroom this year, we can’t wait to get back to Blackpool!”

Names confirmed for Strictly Come Dancing this year include singer & actress Molly Rainford, Loose Women’s Kaye Adams, Paralympian and sports presenter Ellie Simmonds OBE, EastEnders actor James Bye and TV personality Helen Skelton.

Also on the line up are footballer turned manager Tony Adams MBE, TV actor Will Mellor, presenter & actress Kym Marsh, TV & radio host Fleur East and Bros frontman Matt Goss.

Strictly Come Dancing airs on Saturday and Sunday nights on BBC One.

Each week the celebrity and professional dancer pairings take to the dancefloor with the hope of impressing the panel and those at home.

The performances will be critiqued by returning Strictly judges Motsi Mabuse, Craig Revel Horwood, Shirley Ballas and Anton Du Beke before viewers can vote.
