Here’s a spoiler-filled recap of tonight’s Strictly Come Dancing 2017 ahead of the results.
This evening was the start of the traditional Movie themed weekend special, opening with a group performance based on La La Land.
It was Aston Merrygold who topped the leaderboard with his Trolls themed ChaCha scoring the best marks of the night with 35 points.
The JLS singer beat is former X Factor rival Alexandra Burke who was second with 33 points for her American Smooth.
Last week’s scoreboard leaders Debbie McGee and Giovanni Pernice found themselves with 29 points after being marked down by Craig Revel Horwood over ‘the 10 second rule’.
At the other end of the scores, placing in the bottom two were Richard Coles and Ruth Langsford.

Richard’s Paso Doble to Flash’s Theme from Flash Gordon impressed the audience but with 14 points from the judges he was left bottom of the leaderboard.
Ruth also struggled again, scoring 15 points for her Rumba to Diamonds Are Forever from James Bond.
Elsewhere, Charlotte Hawkins bounced back slightly from last week’s “dance disaster”, although her Tango scored a still lowly 17 marks, leaving pro partner Brendan Cole unimpressed with judge Shirley Ballas.
Meanwhile, Brian Conley did better this weekend after his appearance in last week’s dance off, placing middle of the the table with 22 points for his American Smooth.
The total judges’ marks from tonight will now be combined with the results from the latest public vote.
The two celebrity couples in the bottom two of the overall rankings will find themselves having to dance again in tomorrow night’s (Sunday) results show.
